Sites to Check Out: I WAS wondering, NOAA, PracTutor

I WAS wondering is a website that celebrates women in science.  Ten different scientists are profiled and students can submit questions. If the answer is not in the website’s database, it may be answered by a scientist.  There are also three interactive games:Astroscope, Gorilla Quest, and Make a Robot.  Each of these games is based off of the work of a scientist that is featured.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has a website with resources related to the oceans and weather. Of note is their collection of data resources.

PracTutor - This is a new site for Math and ELA PAARC like questions.  You can enroll a class of students and see class results.

Just in case you missed it, NewsELA now is partnering with the Washington Post.  If you are looking for a NewsELA article from the post, they can be found here.
