NewsELA and Google Docs, More Fonts in Google Docs, Jeopardy Game using Google Spreadsheets, Science Games

I know many of you are already using NewsELA.  If you wanted to use NewsELA as a differentiated reading station you can combine it with Google Docs.  Basically, you start a document, paste in an article from NewsELA set at the desired Lexile Level, and then share it with the students who need that level, allowing only comments.  Here is a more indepth explanation.

Getting bored with the fonts in Google Docs and Presentations?  Add more in using the More Fonts option at the bottom of the list of fonts. (Right now, you probably see Times New Roman or Georgia)

Flippity.net - This tool works with Google Spreadsheets and allows you to make either a Jeopardy game (calculates the team scores -up to four) or interactive flash cards. Simple to use. Think about having students make challenge boards or submitting questions to you using a form for your consideration.

Explore Science - One Game at a Time Using a game approach, this site has six different adventures: Cool Science Careers, Med Myst, CSI: The Experience, Reconstructors, Virtual Clinical Trials, and Neuropolis Forensic Scientists.
