If you find yourself constantly looking for files in your Google Drive, here is a 3 minute video clip on the advanced search features of Google Drive.
Some December upgrade Freebies:
Zaption: Have you ever assigned a video at a digital learning station and wished that you could ask questions and collect student responses throughout the movie? Zaption allows you to do just that. For a limited time, teachers can take a survey about their use of Discovery Education and get access to the premium version of Zaption for the remainder of the school year. It literally takes 5 minutes. Here is the information for the survey.
Listen Current: A few weeks ago, I posted a link to listencurrent; similar to NewsELA, it uses recordings and transcripts from NPR. They are looking for some teachers to try out their “premium” version for free. They just require feedback. The premium version includes:
- Interactive transcripts so that students can read along with audio
- Differentiated assigning capability
- Data dashboard for teacher to track student progress
- Preset questions and assignments that can be edited
- Numerous digital and paper-based assignments and activities to connect real world content to CCSS standards
