Using Technology to Prepare for MCAS Testing

Students in Mr. Coleman's class use Android tablets and BrainGenie to prepare for the MCAS.  "We've been using Braingenie for the past month.  Students seem to like using it, and it helps me assess their progress," said Mr. Coleman.  In addition to using BrainGenie in class, Coleman's students can also access their assignments from home.

Mr. Coleman also added, "Braingenie allows me to create an assignment and then monitor student progress, in real time, within that assignment.  I can teach a group of students a new concept, and then watch them master it.  The website identifies students that aren't understanding.  This allows me to  provide one on one support to students that need it more quickly.  I am hopeful that this will lead better learning, and higher test scores."

Anyone can sign up for Braingenie at: http://braingenie.ck12.org/
