As an educator, I have started to look into the benefits of Twitter beyond the renown social networking reputation it holds. Ill admit, Im more of a lurker; reading versus posting my own content. However, Im finding benefits for individuals with my current tweet history.
This week I experienced the interactive possibilities of tweeting with others during a conference. I attended the Aspen 2013 conference in Norwood, MA. During the opening presentations, talk of Twitter and the tag "Aspen13" was mentioned and out of curiosity, I searched this hash tag. I was amazed how the conference became conversations among educators, administrators and tech guru discussing new things they were excited about such as the new mobile application and interactive widgets. Twitter will definitely be a tool I will continue to bring to the table at each conference I attend.
After all, there IS an app for that! ;)
